Description
InnSæi: The Sea Within by Hrund Gunnsteinsdóttir and Kristín Ólafsdóttir centers on intuition, not as mysticism detached from life but as a neglected human faculty shaped by attention, empathy, imagination, and inner clarity. Moving across conversations with thinkers, artists, and scientists, it asks what gets lost when speed, distraction, and rigid rationalism dominate how people live and decide. The documentary leans contemplative without floating away from lived experience, keeping creativity, perception, and emotional intelligence at the center of its inquiry.

About the Director / Filmmaker
Hrund Gunnsteinsdóttir and Kristín Ólafsdóttir, co-directors and co-writers, meet from different ends of nonfiction. Gunnsteinsdóttir is an Icelandic author, speaker, entrepreneur, and former UN adviser whose work circles intuition, leadership, and inner life, while Ólafsdóttir founded Klikk Productions and has spent decades directing and producing documentaries, films, and theatre. Together they join conceptual inquiry with experienced production craft, making this a genuine two-person collaboration rather than a single-auteur one.
